Introduction to Jap Sen style and modifications for Thai Table Massage
Jap Sen Introduction and Thai Table Massage will be combined in this 3-Day Customized training for 21 CEUs.  We will have both mats and tables set up in class.  You will be able to work on either the mat or the table depending on your preference.

This workshop will provide students with Jap Sen Herbal massage techniques traditionally done on a mat and modified for use on a western massage table. If you would like to incorporate some Thai massage into your current practice or you find it difficult to work in the Traditional Thai style on a mat, this will be a creative approach to learning this beautiful healing art.

What is Thai table massage and how can it help my practice?
How can you save your hands and benefit your body with Thai Table massage?  You will learn how to use some of the best Thai massage stretches with proper body alignment. The efficient use of your body weight in Thai massage saves your body from injury and is less strenuous physically for the therapist.

What is Jap Sen Style Herbal massage and how can it help my practice?
Jap Sen style Thai massage is a deeper approach with more therapeutic application than Northern style Thai massage which is what is more commonly taught.  Jap Sen relieves stress, pain and tension in the client’s body by hooking and kneading over ridges of muscles, nerves and tendons. The Jap Sen stretches are deeper and more focused on joint flexibility and alignment.  Learning and integrating these specialized techniques will give you a new way of working in your Western or Thai massage practice.  You will be more effective in a range of pressure from soft to deep tissue, improve joint function, reduce pain and stress and have more energy left for your own well being.
You will also learn the medicinal properties of the Traditional herbs and how to use and integrate the steamed Traditional Herbal packs into your massage.  Jap Sen style Thai massage has a unique way of making and using the steamed herbal packs. “Luk Pra Kob” They are made softer with a smaller handle and held in the palm not by the handle.  In this way the warmth and the herbs mold around the muscles and joints and can be used in many ways and become a specialized tool in this therapeutic work. They are used throughout the session and integrated into each stretch.
